Pre-register now for Awana!

Clubbers and leaders can pre-register for Awana Aug. 8 and Aug. 15 in the Family Life Center before and after Services and Sunday School. Those who pre-register will be eligible for a prize drawing during the Back-to-Club Bash at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday      Aug. 25. See Registration Information below to download the forms in advance.

Awana is a Bible-based club designed to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve him. The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 (“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the work of truth.”).

WRBC’s Awana clubs are among thousands of clubs in churches around the world. These church-based community clubs are open to all youth and have children attending from many different faiths and churches. While clubbers are not required to attend the functions of our church, all of our church services and opportunities are available to clubbers and their families.

 AWANA clubs include:

Cubbies: 3- and 4-year-old boys and girls (must be 3-years-old by Sept. 1)
Sparks: K – 2nd grade boys and girls
Truth & Training: 3rd – 5th grade boys and girls

All clubs meet weekly during the school year on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Awana Grand Prix is a model car racing event that combines creativity and skill. A couple of months before the race, clubbers purchase small pine blocks of wood and plastic wheels. Clubbers then construct their cars, usually with the help of a parent or leader. The cars race on a wooden four-lane track. Clubs award first-, second- and third-place trophies for each of two categories: speed and design. Each clubber who competes also receives a participation ribbon.

Area Bible Quizzing competition (for clubbers in third grade and higher) tests clubbers’ knowledge of handbook material and gives them the opportunity to earn individual recognition and awards.

Adopt-A-Club helps thousands of churches overseas that cannot afford to start or run an Awana program. Donations provide children with the materials they need to participate.
