Welcome to WRBC!
Waterloo Road Baptist Church exists to connect people to Jesus:
His truth, His family, and His mission.
We are super glad you're here!
We understand that checking out a church for the first time can feel overwhelming, so here is some info we hope will help you feel more confident as you join us. If you would like any more details, please contact us or stop by the Welcome Desk in the Family Life Center when you arrive.
Our church is located at 3100 E. Waterloo Road in Edmond
What's the atmosphere like at WRBC?
You’ll see people in everything from jeans to 3-piece suits, so pretty much anything goes. We would probably call it “Come As You Are Casual.”
How can I get connected?
We offer small groups for all ages. Our Connect Groups are a great way to build relationships with other believers while focusing on God’s Word together. Come to the Family Life Center at 9:00 for donuts & a cup of great coffee, then stop by our Welcome Desk where we will direct you to a great Connect Group!
What's the worship service like?
Our Worship Service at 10:30 is led by our Worship Choir, Band, and Worship Leaders. In each service, we interact with Scripture, pray, hear God’s Word preached, and sing Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs drawn from a rich blend of historic and modern sources.
Where should I park?
Guest Parking is marked with red signs located in our North, West, and South parking lots. If you are bringing Children or Youth, you’ll want to park on the South end of our parking lot in order to enter those areas. If you are arriving for Small Groups at 9:15, the West lot will be your best bet. If you plan only to attend a Worship Service, the North lot is closest to our Worship Center. Click here to download our Campus Map.
If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
What is offered for the kids?
Children are able to attend age-appropriate Connect Groups each Sunday at 9:15, and they join in as part of the family during Worship at 10:30. Preschoolers enjoy loving, Christ-centered care during all WRBC Services and Connect Groups.
Children in Kindergarten through Second Grade participate in the Worship Service with their parents for a portion of the service and then are excused to the Children’s Chapel for their own worship service that is tailored to their specific needs. Children will experience the Gospel Project Kid’s Worship curriculum, which is an extension of our Connect Groups curriculum.
Becoming a Christian
Becoming a follower of Jesus Christ is the greatest decision you will ever make. God loves you and sent His son, Jesus, with the eternal purpose of giving His life in your place on the cross! So how do you accept this free gift of Salvation?
Admit: Admit that you are a sinner and repent (or turn) from your sin. Romans 3:23 says “all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.”
Believe: You are saved by faith, believing that God sent His son to die on the cross for your sin. John 3:16 says “for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.”
Commit: This decision is about making Jesus Christ the Lord (Boss, Savior, Coach) of your life. You are surrendering your desires for His. Romans 10:9-10 tells us how to be saved: “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
If you have decided to surrender your life to Jesus Christ today or want to talk more about this, please contact any of our pastors today!
Joining the Church
Why does membership matter? We take membership seriously. Committing yourself to a body of believers is weighty, yet absolutely wonderful. As a member, you are committed to a spiritual family that provides community, support, and encouragement.
There are a three ways to become a member of WRBC.
- A testimony of your personal profession of faith in Christ followed by Biblical Baptism by immersion here at WRBC.
- Transfer of your church membership from another Southern Baptist church.
- A statement of your previous decision to follow Christ and Biblical Baptism.
Respond by coming forward during an invitation time in one of our worship services to let us know your desire to join WRBC.
