CHILDHOOD MINISTRIES
INFANTS - 4TH GRADE
Waterloo Road Baptist Church believes parents are the primary disciple makers of their children. Therefore, our goal is to partner with and equip parents in discipling their children. We exist to help children seek God and serve Him as wholly devoted followers of Christ.
29 Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” - Mark 12:29-31
Weekly Events
Connect Groups: Sundays @ 9:30a
Children are placed in age-appropriate classes where they learn about God’s Word through Bible study, games, music, and much more.
Worship Care: Sundays @ 8a and 10:45a
Worship Care is provided for Infants through Prekindergarten during both worship services. During this hour, your children will be cared for by a team of volunteers who serve on a rotating basis. Parents are always welcome to keep their children with them in corporate worship as well.
Children's Church: Sundays @ 10:45a
During late service (10:45a), children in Kindergarten through Second Grade have the option to go to Children's Church. Children's Church is designed to assist with the transition to attending corporate worship with the body of Christ. As families feel comfortable, the goal is for children to begin attending worship with their families.
For children who attend Children's Church, they will participate with their parents for a portion of the service and then be excused to the Childhood Chapel for the transitional model worship service. Children will experience the Gospel Project Kid’s Worship curriculum, which is an extension of our Connect Groups curriculum.
MIDWEEK: Wednesdays @ 6:30p during the School Year
On Wednesday evenings, children three years of age through 4th grade participate in Midweek Bible Studies where they learn through Scripture memorization, Bible stories, games, activities, and more. Children two years and younger participate in Worship Care provided their parents are attending Wednesday evening activities.
