WORSHIP MINISTRIES
Sundays at WRBC
“But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:23-24 (HCSB)
God continues to call His people to worship Him in spirit and in truth, and it is our great joy to respond in obedience! We invite the Holy Spirit to move, speak and work within us as we worship in the company of fellow believers.
Each time the Church gathers, every worshiper is encouraged to:
1. engage with God and His people.
2. recognize the value of living a life that glorifies Jesus.
3. increase in service, worship, and discipleship.
4. continually become a more fully-devoted follower of Christ.
WRBC offers an opportunity to worship God in-person or online in a corporate setting every Sunday. Each service, we Gather in response to God’s call; we interact with God’s Word as He reveals Himself and His mighty acts to us; we Respond to Him through prayer, song, or Communion; and we are Sent into the world to live out God’s purpose.
Our Worship Choir, Band, and Praise Team lead these services as we do the work of Scripture interaction, prayer, Biblical teaching, and music that is a blend of Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs from all ages.
All for His glory, we pray God stirs you to worship and inspires you to serve in His name!
How Can I Get Involved?
Worship Choir
God calls many of His people to serve as leaders in worship. Our talented adult choir is made up of individuals who have responded to His call to be lead worshipers. The Worship Choir leads out during our Worship Services and other worship experiences throughout the year. No audition is required; if you can sing and love leading people in worship, we need you! Ron McGee leads this group, which rehearses Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30PM in the Choir Room.
Drama Team
WRBC has a fantastic group of gifted actors who desire to glorify God by enhancing special services, sermons and musical/dramatic productions by creative, dramatic means. Joetta Beauchene leads this group, rehearsing Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30PM in the Worship Center.
Praise Team
Our Praise Team is a group of Worship Leaders who lead worship in an “up-front” way. All Praise Team vocalists are auditioned, committed members of our Worship Choir.
Soloists
Vocal or instrumental soloists at WRBC are chosen based on a demonstrated mastery of their chosen discipline. All soloists are committed first to another group in our Worship Ministries, such as the Worship Choir. We utilize soloists occasionally, often singing along with our Worship Choir.
WRBC Band
Our Band is an auditioned group of instrumentalists who serve God and the Church via their incredible musical abilities. If you play guitar, keyboard, piano, drums or percussion, we have a place for you to minister! Other instruments are welcome, too. Just contact Ron McGee for more information or to schedule an interview.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir is a 4-octave group of ringers who love to praise God and encourage others through the unique beauty of handbells. These musicians perform occasionally in our Sunday morning services as well as in nursing homes and other venues throughout our community. Jerilyn Carey directs this group, which rehearses Sundays from 4:00-5:30PM.
Tech Teams
A team of sound, lighting, camera and graphics technicians is essential to every worship service and special event at WRBC. If you have a love for technology, we have a place for you! Previous experience is appreciated, but not necessary. Training is provided. Please check with Ron McGee for information on how to get involved.
